It is very important to be educated about what may happen and the consequences that may follow. By preparing for a disaster we can save crucial time in an emergency. By having a “Family Disaster Plan” and a disaster kit prepared, we won’t have to waste time scrambling to get supplies together when a disaster occurs. We can also save possible injury and even death by knowing what to do during a disaster. By planning ahead and practicing what to do, we can be ready to act and respond, rather than wondering or waiting for someone to tell us what we should do.
